August Newsletter

Dear all,

Attached is a St. Andrew’s/UnitingCare Glenelg newsletter for your weekend reading. Hopefully you’ll find it to be a bit of good news and inspiration.

A reminder that tomorrow (Sunday 29 August) Avril will offer her reflections on Ephesians and what she senses the Spirit is saying to the church at this time. Then on Sunday 5 September we will round off the Ephesians series with communion.

In Peace,

Christine

Worship at Home for Sunday 25 July

Hello all,

A few have rung to ask about gathered worship tomorrow. As long as the lockdown/stay-at-home orders are in place, we are not allowed to gather for worship or activities other than Emergency Relief.

Yesterday I emailed an at home prayer resource for the weekend. In conversation with some, I discovered the email did not reach everyone. So, I’m sending it again.

Also, I’ve attached the most recent UCG newsletter for you. Among other things, it includes:

  • preliminary save-the-date information about Artist in Residence Week
  • half-yearly statistics about pantry donations

Feel free to pass these gifts along to others who might appreciate them.

Peace to you on this rainy winter day.

Christine

UCG March 2021 Newsletter

Hello All,

Attached below is the UCG Newsletter telling of some of the items of interest from March. We distributed hard copies during Mary’s Kitchen Tuesday community meal yesterday and Robin was pleased to see his “name in lights.” Coincidently, the “Joe” from Lions Club on page 2 is the father of Robyn one of our Mary’s Kitchen volunteers.

Below is the prayer offered at last evening’s meal. We had a few first time folk, including someone who comes regularly during the day. At the end of dinner, he began wiping chairs and tables and said, “It’s the least I can do.” That warmed my heart and it was lovely to see a few others pitching in to give it that community meal feeling.

Peace,

Christine
