UPDATED: Changes due to Covid-19 pandemic

St. Andrews Uniting Church remains committed in our desire to be a Christian community in the heart of Glenelg.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following changes have been made until further notice:

Worship: A contemplative prayer guide and reflection is offered each week. The guide includes scripture engagements, artwork, poetry and prayers for use as personal or small group worship. Beginning 19 July at 10:00 am those who wish are invited to gather in the Church Hall for communal worship using the contemplative prayer guides. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to sanitise your hands and sign in as part of our COVID Safe practices. For more information, please read a detailed letter here.

Emergency Relief Services: On Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 11:30 to 2:30, warm up with a cup of hot coffee/tea, soup and bread roll plus other savory and sweet items available on the day. Fresh fruit and veggies, non-perishables, bread and chemist vouchers are available to take away.

Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm a hot community meal is served up with warm hospitality. The meal always includes fruit salad, soup, bread roll and coffee/tea. Each week includes a main meal such as BBQ, lasagne, curried sausages, schnitzel and potato mash, and shepherd’s pie. Fresh fruit and veggies and bread are available to take away.

Other Programmes: Please contact the church on 8295 1771 for questions about other activities at this time of transition.

In all instances: Please stay home if you are unwell or if your health is compromised. Physical distancing, hygiene and other safe practices will be observed.
