Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is Christ’s gift. It is the sign by which the Spirit of God joins people to Jesus Christ and incorporates them into his body, the Church.

In the case of young children, the parents are asked to declare their own Christian faith and claim their membership in the Church. It is sufficient for one parent to be a member of the Church.

For some families, a Service of Thanksgiving and Blessing may reflect where they are in their journey with God at this point.

The celebration of baptism always occurs within a normal service of worship. If you do not already, we invite you to participate in worship so you and the community can get to know one another.

If you would like to know more about the Sacrament of Baptism or Service of Thanksgiving and Blessing, please complete the form Beginning the Conversation, and the Minister will contact you to arrange a time to meet and answer your questions.
