2020 Season of Advent begins

Dear Friends,

The Season of Advent begins this Sunday, 29 November. With Christmas Day landing on Friday this year, we will have four weeks to observe this season of waiting, wakefulness and anticipation together. As part of your worshipful observation, I offer the following for your consideration:

  • Quiet Communion –– A simple communion service at 8:30 am in the church with prayers, scripture readings, silent reflection and communion around the table.
  • Advent Worship –– Reflective worship at 10:00 am in the hall’s communal setting with singing, prayers, scripture readings, reflection and candle lighting.

Along with your offering, you are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the pantry throughout these weeks.

Sunday’s worship guide and reflection are available on the St. Andrew’s website for those who wish.

Attached is the UnitingCare Glenelg newsletter. We hope you enjoy reading about what is going on at St. Andrew’s during the week.

In peace,

Christine
