Dear Friends,

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, St Andrew’s by the Sea Uniting Church is unable to hold a Christmas party for our guests. Unless the SA Government impose a takeaway only restriction upon us, we will be able to continue to operate the way we have over these past few months.

3 Christmas Meals

We wanted to ensure that our guests felt the spirit of Christmas was still dwelling within our midst and have tried to adapt to the changes that have been put upon us. We will be extending our year of serving and instead of one Christmas meal, we will be offering three.

I thank all of you who have been involved in deciding what they may like to serve our community in these weeks.

Night Prayers

Rev. Christine Gilbert is offering weekly night prayers with the focus on Advent. You and your household are most welcome to come and participate in this time of waiting and the expectation of the coming of Christmas. The Advent nightly prayers begin, after the 6:00 pm meal service, at approximately 7:30 pm every week. 

Masks

One change has been that you wear a mask upon entering St Andrew’s and if you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you.

I also want to thank our Week 4 volunteers for their willingness to serve on the other weeks to provide support in December.
