COVID-19 practices

On 13 April 2022 St Andrew’s by the Sea Glenelg received an update from the Uniting Church in response to the South Australian government announcement of further easing of some COVID restrictions which take effect on Good Friday 15 April 2022. Acting General Secretary Sue Page and Moderator Bronte Wilson wrote:

The restrictions that relate to churches are as follows:

Mask requirements in all indoor public places have been removed––but strongly recommended in crowded spaces. An individual’s choice to wear a mask should be supported for those who wish to maintain this practice.

QR codes and contact tracing records are no longer required.

…Pending further information, the following requirements continue to apply to church activities until further notice:

·         COVID Safe Plans

·         COVID Marshals

·         Hand sanitising and frequent cleaning

So, while masks are no longer required, we are encouraged to support one another as many of us may choose to continue the practice for the time being.
