What’s Emerging? Week 2: 15 June 2021

Hugh Mackay is an Australian social psychologist and the author of twenty-two books. His most recent book is called The Kindness Revolution: How we can restore hope, rebuild trust and inspire optimism and it is comprised of Mackay’s observations and reflections on the 2019 bushfire season and the 2020 pandemic experience.

Drawing on the universal human ties out of which Jesus lived according to last Sunday’s Gospel, Mackay writes the following.

What’s Emerging? Week 1: Friday 11 June 2021

Amidst the toilet paper hoarding and fights over pasta in the shops we saw on television, many of us were privileged to witness and take part in a growth of love and kindness that is also happening. Throughout the pandemic, we at St. Andrew’s are holding open a space for giving and receiving. What a gift to be part of God’s outpouring of kindness in our community.

In peace,

Christine
