We are very happy to share with all our valued members of the St Andrews community the wonderful news that UnitingCare Glenelg Emergency Relief Volunteers have been awarded the Premier’s Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service 2023.
If you are dropping in for UnitingCare Glenelg community support services this Thursday 20 and Friday 21 April, please remember that the next support day is Thursday 27 April.
As ANZAC Day falls on Tuesday 25 April, the centre is closed for food support, cafe hospitality services, and Op Shop retail. Mary’s Kitchen is also closed so there will be no Tuesday Community Meal.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday 27 April. Stay safe.
Community Support services at St Andrew’s by the Sea Glenelg will re-open on staggered dates in January 2023 as volunteers return.
Food assistance will re-open on Tuesday 17 January. Cafe services will be limited to tea, coffee and snacks only. The Op Shop will resume the week after on Tuesday 24 Jan, followed by the first Tuesday community meal at Mary’s Kitchen on Tuesday 7 February.
Meanwhile, should you need assistance, please visit https://askizzy.org.au/ and search for the help you require.
Friends, as we all realise through experience, the cost of living has increased and the strain on many is great. As a result, the community support pantry at St Andrew’s is always in need of restocking.
