Friends, please note the dates when community support, op shop and food relief services at St Andrew’s UC Glenelg will be closing for the 2023-24 Christmas and New Year holidays.
Emergency Food Support and Op Shop
The final day for Emergency Food Support and Op Shop is Friday 15 December 2023. Food Support and Op Shop will re-open on Tuesday 16 January at 11.30 am. The hours for 2024 are unchanged – Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11.30 am with the last guest accepted at 2 pm
Mary’s Kitchen Tuesday Community Meal
Note that the final Tuesday Community Meal for the year at Mary’s Kitchen is 6 pm Tuesday 12 December. Mary’s Kitchen will re-open for the Tuesday evening Community Meals on Tuesday 6 February 2024 at 6 pm.
The Church Office will close from 2.30 pm on Tuesday 19 December and will re-open on Tuesday 16 January 2024 at 9.30 am. Office hours for 2024 are unchanged – Tuesday to Friday from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.

the Premier’s Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service 2023.

If you are dropping in for UnitingCare Glenelg community support services this Thursday 20 and Friday 21 April, please remember that the next support day is Thursday 27 April.
As ANZAC Day falls on Tuesday 25 April, the centre is closed for food support, cafe hospitality services, and Op Shop retail. Mary’s Kitchen is also closed so there will be no Tuesday Community Meal.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday 27 April. Stay safe.
Community Support services at St Andrew’s by the Sea Glenelg will re-open on staggered dates in January 2023 as volunteers return.
Food assistance will re-open on Tuesday 17 January. Cafe services will be limited to tea, coffee and snacks only. The Op Shop will resume the week after on Tuesday 24 Jan, followed by the first Tuesday community meal at Mary’s Kitchen on Tuesday 7 February.

Friends, as we all realise through experience, the cost of living has increased and the strain on many is great. As a result, the community support pantry at St Andrew’s is always in need of restocking.
