Dear Friends,
Today is Ascension Day in the Western Church when we remember Jesus’ flesh-and-blood departure from this world. I wrote this prayer this morning which may begin a bit like the weather. Yet through Jesus’ ascension and the gift of his Spirit, we are ennobled to continue his ministry of love in a world that includes suffering and pain on many fronts.
